Who would have thought that I experienced fire in the building. This is my first time living in an appartement. Of course I never chose appartement when living in Indonesia because it’s a real high risk when the earthquake happen. But here we are placed in an appartement. What got me relieved the first time that we are in the lowest floor so if something happen we will be quickly evacuated. That’s what I thought. Until it really happened. We slept around midnight and abruptly woken up by the noise outside. I thought it was the drunk people just got back from night club or the restaurant next door was doing some deep cleaning. So loud that I had to wake up. My husband peeked outside and immediately said “fire brigade outside, you wait here!” I was just “am I dreaming or what?” I put on clothes, checked outside and saw a few of fire trucks. Semua cerita ini dimulai ketika sudah memasuki dunia kuliah. Pertanyaan dimulai dari 'kapan lulus?'. Setelah lulus, pertanyaannya geser jadi 'kapan kerja?'. Meskipun pertanyaan kapan kerja ini jarang sih, biasa diganti dengan 'udah kerja? Kerja dimana?'. Kalau sudah kerja, pertanyaan berubah menjadi 'kapan nikah?', dan pertanyaan ini pasti bakal bertahun-tahun ditanyakan dan biasanya pas lebaran semua orang pada nanyain pertanyaan ini. Kalau udah nikah, pertanyaan geser lagi jadi 'kapan punya anak?'. Kalau udah hamil, anak juga sudah lahir, masih ada lagi pertanyaan 'kapan bikin adek buat anaknya?'.
Masih dengan another 'kapan', kalau anak udah gede, pertanyaannya jadi 'kapan punya mantu?'. Terus, 'kapan punya cucu?' ....
....dan pertanyaan akan terus berlanjut.
Thank you for your attention about asking me (us) 'kapan', but many times it is annoying for me. I mean, getting married is not something that I have to rush. I cant deny that I want to be married, but sometimes the way you ask 'kapan nikah?' Is so annoying.
Hidup bukan soal balapan siapa yang duluan lulus, kerja, nikah, punya anak, punya mantu, bahkan cucu. Setiap orang bahagia dengan caranya masing-masing. Dan setiap cara hidup satu orang pasti berbeda dengan cara hidup orang yang lain.
Please stop asking 'kapan?'. It seems a little thing but it is many times annoys me.
