Karena sedang ada urusan dadakan ke Jakarta, maka sekalian gw putuskan untuk sambang ke opa buyut. Opa buyut adalah salah satu orang Belanda yang meninggal di Jepang ketika ditawan sebagai tawanan perang di Perang Dunia II. Menurut nama keluarga, ada kemungkinan beliau merupakan anak dari keluarga Jerman yang bergabung dengan Belanda sehingga secara otomatis tercatat sebagai warga negara Belanda, menikah dengan oma buyut yang mana masih juga keturunan Belanda. Mereka berdua mempunyai seorang anak lelaki yang dikirim ke Belanda pada tahun 1955 sehingga terpisah dari adiknya (nenek gw) yang masih kecil. Mami (nenek gw) masih sekitar umur setahun saat opa buyut ditawan. Beliau meninggal saat usia 37 tahun, masih relatif muda. Oma buyut meminta jenazahnya dikirim ke Indonesia tapi permintaan itu tidak disetujui.
