Surviving -20 Celcius in Moscow

frozen lake in Moscow I'd say surviving because I am a tropical girl coming from 30-35 degree Celcius. So yes, this is about surviving such differences in temperature. I spent my whole life in a tropical country then I have to be in a -20 celcius, not an easy situation.  Obviously, I came prepared. I have been in a 0 celcius and learned that double triple layering is the right answer. Moscow has heater that runs nonstop since the beginning of (probably, I dont remember) November until early May. So you technically can not turn it off or on. Many days it gets too hot inside. Going to the mall in Moscow got me super sleepy and tired because it feels most of the time like in Sauna. So, double triple layering in Moscow is the right thing to do.  November temperature usually started to feel chilly, still not lower than 0. December will get colder can be minus. Memandang Langit Yang Sama

I have two soundtrack of my long distance relationship. The first one is Already home from A great big world, the other one is Dekat di hati by RAN. 




Those two songs are actually quiet similar. The theme is exactly the same. Two people having long distance relationship, stay far away, doing things together in different place and then meet each other by flying for hours (I guess). 

I personally like the music video of Already home, because it shows what couples doing in life. I mean, eating together, chit chat, quarrels, then kissing. Normal life. Doesn’t mean I don’t like music video of Dekat di hati (which is sponsored by Citilink). It is sweet enough. But it only shows a bit of couples do. It tells only 10 hours before they met. 

When I listen to those two songs, it make me feel like ‘yes, I feel what you feel guys’. Sharing pictures everyday is a must, texting also a must, video call especially, quarrels and feel gloomy ohh I felt that a lot. Every couples feel it I guess, it just everytime I text him, talk to him, I just need to make sure that he is safe. He is safe there. He is fine there. That’s why it always frustrate me whenever I cant reach him. Worried if something happen there. Conflict area is not a joke. 

I listen to this songs for days already. Cant help it. I just miss him so much. Deeply. And this mood is repeat, lovey dovey mood.

Anyone has the same feeling as mine? 😄

    Omegad. I am in the same kind of relationship as well, eldeer. I also have my favorite songs about LDR. Have you ever heard She Was Mine by AJ Rafael & Jesse Barrera? It is one of my fave song. Hehe

    A great big world and Dekat di hati by RAN had been on my playlist since a long time ago. xD

Fire in the Building

Who would have thought that I  experienced fire in the building.  This is my first time living in an appartement. Of course I never chose appartement when living in Indonesia because it’s a real high risk when the earthquake happen. But here we are placed in an appartement. What got me relieved the first time that we are in the lowest floor so if something happen we will be quickly evacuated.  That’s what I thought.  Until it really happened.  We slept around midnight and abruptly woken up by the noise outside. I thought it was the drunk people just got back from night club or the restaurant next door was doing some deep cleaning. So loud that I had to wake up. My husband peeked outside and immediately said “fire brigade outside, you wait here!” I was just “am I dreaming or what?” I put on clothes, checked outside and saw a few of fire trucks. Tiga bulan pertama hidup di luar Indonesia

Gw kira rasanya akan sama aja. Ada rasa kangen ya wajar karena jauh dari tempat yang selama ini kita sebut familiar. Tapi ternyata ada rasa rindu yang pukulannya berbeda.  Di kasus gw, gw cuma kenal satu orang Indonesia. Beliau bilang kalau mau temen jalan-jalan bisa lah berkabar biar jalan bareng. Tapi karena gw ada kerja dari senin-jumat, sedangkan beliau nggak, jadinya waktu kami seringkali nggak pas. Sedangkan di akhir pekan, gw habiskan bersama suami.  Bulan pertama masih terasa integrasi. Berusaha mengenal supermarket mana yang jual apa. Cari ini itu di mana. Menghafal jalur transportasi umum. Mengenal, membaca dan memahami nama daerah atau tempat dari huruf cyrilic-nya untuk sekedar "kalau nyasar, bisa kasih tau suami lagi ada di mana" karena seringkali online maps dihambat pemerintah.  Bulan kedua sudah mulai mengenal banyak hal. Sudah punya kartu atm untuk pembayaran. Visa panjang juga sudah di tangan. Mulai berhati-hati dengan banyak hal, mana yang boleh mana ya...
