Taking a Train from Moscow City to Yaroslavky

walking to the wagon We chose deliberately in the winter to travel from Moscow to Yaroslavsky. In my defense, we kinda had to use the holiday a little bit. If we're waiting for the good weather, it probably not gonna happen for 3 months and then nothing again. So this trip was taken on February 2026. So we've decided to take a few days off going from Moscow to half of the golden ring. The name ring, means literally ring. Refers to a few cities that used to be very important in the past. Starting from Moscow city (where which we're coming from, technically). I have to mention the cities here anyway; Sergiyev Posad, Pereslavl Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Vladimir, and Suzdal. there will be info about the train  We took the train trip from Moscow. Book : Dilihat Dari Rumah Kaca


Setelah Bumi Manusia, Anak Semua Bangsa, Jejak Langkah, tetralogi terakhir dari Buru ini adalah Rumah Kaca. Berbeda dengan buku sebelumnya, Rumah Kaca ini mengambil seorang lain untuk membaca situasi yang dihadapi oleh Minke. Menelisik siapa saja tokoh tokoh yang diceritakan Minke di 3 buku sebelumnya. Apakah fakta ataukah hanya karangan belaka.

Buku ini auranya berbeda dari tiga buku sebelumnya. Karena di buku sebelumnya kita bisa mendalami sosok Minke dengan segala kegalauannya, disini kita memang memandang orang lain dari Rumah Kaca kita. Dari kacamata dengan data yang ada untuk digali lebih dalam. Kata salah satu kolega, ini closure dari ketiga buku sebelumnya.

Minke memang luar biasa, di masa segitu, Minke berani bersuara dengan tulisan termasuk hal yang sangat berani. Tantangannya dibredel atau yaaa minimal diasingkan lah, paling parahnya dihilangkan. Karena ketakutan akan mempengaruhi kekuasaan kolonial.

Tidak banyak yang bisa kutulis tentang buku keempat ini. Karena semua cerita sudah tercakup di tiga buku sebelumnya. Yang jelas di buku ini pembaca diajak untuk refleksi tentang apa yang dialami Minke di tiga buku sebelumnya. Sosok Minke yang bisa dibilang kontroversial dimasanya. Seperti kata mertua gw :

    Bagus kan mbak? Semua bukunya Pramoedya bagus-bagus tau. Makanya saya ngoleksi buku-bukunya.

Surviving -20 Celcius in Moscow

frozen lake in Moscow I'd say surviving because I am a tropical girl coming from 30-35 degree Celcius. So yes, this is about surviving such differences in temperature. I spent my whole life in a tropical country then I have to be in a -20 celcius, not an easy situation.  Obviously, I came prepared. I have been in a 0 celcius and learned that double triple layering is the right answer. Moscow has heater that runs nonstop since the beginning of (probably, I dont remember) November until early May. So you technically can not turn it off or on. Many days it gets too hot inside. Going to the mall in Moscow got me super sleepy and tired because it feels most of the time like in Sauna. So, double triple layering in Moscow is the right thing to do.  November temperature usually started to feel chilly, still not lower than 0. December will get colder can be minus.
