Romanticizing My Cooking

Bakso I have to admit that my love for cooking is growing. It's growing and I can't believe it myself. This feeling has been like this since probably two years ago. Before, cooking felt like a hard work that I had to fulfill. It still is, but the difference is I enjoy it now. So it does not feel like I am forcing myself.  Back then whenever I cooked, it's either wrong recipe or incorrect measurement. It never tasted right. So I gave up cooking just because I never found the right one. And then I started to feel that I wanna eat better. I don't want to just eat whatever, I want to know what goes into my body. If I prepare it myself, then I know it's good one.  I don't eat too much sugar, sometimes it is hard to buy one thing outside and has a lot of sugar in it. So cooking it myself will allow me to control the amount of sugar. So I found recipes and I tried to make them. As to my surprise, they taste right! Exactly how they should have tasted. That made me happy

Fully Booked!

Well actually this is kinda funny when I tried to remember again about it.

A day after I got married (22 April), we plan to go to Jogja. We planned to see HJ's friend, Flavio and his gf in Jogja. Flavio is based in Jakarta since 2017. Well he will leave soon again to another country, so we use this chance to see each other in Jogja. This is my first time to see him and his gf. His gf is pregnant, 7 months, such a beautiful thing on her belly. Flavio said to my husband, 'you see the belly bump? amazing right?'. akupun merasa, 'wow, hemm manisnya'.

So... we were all talking about going there by train but all trains from Jakarta to Jogja were fully booked. So does from Surabaya. So we decided to fly. I've check train from Jogja to Surabaya were available so we went back to Surabaya by train. We were all forgot that this is long weekend. 24 April is a holiday here. We were all focused on how to get there and how to go back, but didn't pay attention on 'where will we stay'.

...my husband distract me by asking me to make him a cup of ice coffee in the middle of writing...😑

21 April night, my husband thought that we can just book a hotel in Inna Garuda on last minute, so does Flavio. But then when we checked all the hotels around Jogja, they are all fully booked. We called about 10-15 hotels and they were all told us the same 'Ohh I am sorry, fully booked'. Also in Manohara hotel, a hotel in Borobudur complex that become our first destination. We're all like 'hell! we got the flight to go there, also the train back to Surabaya, but we don't know where to stay while we are there'. Kudu ngguyu tapi yo kudu nangis pisan kok geblek tenan ora mikir turu e nang endi

'Ok we have to stay outside Jogja I think, maybe we can stay in Solo or Semarang or somewhere'

Then I found a homestay next to Borobudur, in the midnight after we called 10-15 hotels. We said yes, we book it! We didnt even care about how it looks, how it is, and this and that, what we care only 'we have to find a place to sleep'. Thats all.

22 April we flew to Jogja from Surabaya around 4, and they flew from Jakarta around 4 I guess. When they came to airport, going for check in, dengan manisnya mbak petugas bilang 'Oh... your flight was yesterday'. Flavio gf book wrong date for the flight. So they have to wait and if they are lucky they can get the ticket. They were lucky, they got ticket to fly to Jogja and finally we met in Jogja!

Karena saking nggak percayanya kalo semua hotel fully booked, kita tanya ke petugas Manohara Hotel, Borobudur, 'Hi may I ask you if this hotel is fully booked for tonight?', dan jawabannya 'yes it is fully booked till 24'. Well... Jogja is main destination for people.

Mengenal Nyai, Eyang Buyut Orang Indo Kebanyakan

Soal ujian TOPIK vs EPS TOPIK
