Rough Guide to Bali

Penjor "Hey I am coming to Bali, can you recommend me things to do?" I got that question a lot. I get it, I live in Bali so people would think that I master everything about Bali. Well... 50:50. I happened to travel around Bali since 2017. So it wasn't wrong to assume me knowing Bali. But I am also a lazy traveler so I don't always do many things in one place.  That is why we will call this a rough guide to Bali.  First thing first, define your style of traveling. Because we all know that Bali is an island. Not a city. So it is quite big, you know. You can not explore all of it in two weeks. Well you might be able to do so, but probably not immersing enough of it.  So... what is your style of traveling? Bali offers you some cultures, quiet normal life, party hotspots, quiet beaches, busy beaches, temples, and so on.  Mt Batur West part of Bali (Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta) If you enjoy partying, you might want to spend your time more in the west part of Bali like Canggu, ...

Dirgahayu Indonesiaku

Aku cinta Indonesia. Kalau ada yang bertanya mengapa? Ini tanah air beta. Tempat lahir saya. Saya juga tumbuh dan berkembang disini. Banyak yang mengatakan, “Indonesia apa bagusnya? Banyak koruptor, kotor, masih banyak lah hal-hal dari sisi negatifnya”. Indonesia itu bagus kali.. sumpah deh. Yaaa kita tau masih banyak koruptor, tapi Negara udah mulai membasmi koruptor-koruptor kok. Pelan tapi pasti. Banyak peringatan tulisannya, “JANGAN BUANG SAMPAH SEMBARANGAN!” bosan kali ya. Dimana-mana ada tulisan itu, karena apa? Karena kita kurang kesadaran. Ayolahhh mulai dijaga. Bukannya pamer nih ane ya, tapi kalau kagak nemuin tempat sampah, ane sakuin dulu sampahnya sampai nemu sampah.

Indonesia Negara siapa sih? Ini pertanyaan buat orang Indonesia nih. Jawabannya punya kita kan?? Kalau punya kita, harusnya kita jaga dong Negara kita. Kan punya kita sendiri yaa.. ibaratnya gini deh, kalau punya pacar biasanya kita mati-matian jaga diri kita sendiri, jaga biar kita tetep cantik cakep gitu kan ya? Ya udah anggep aja Indonesia adalah diri kita sendiri. Akhirnya kita ngerawat Negara kita kayak kita ngerawat diri kita sendiri. Makin cantik makin maju makin sukses dah.

Fire in the Building

Who would have thought that I  experienced fire in the building.  This is my first time living in an appartement. Of course I never chose appartement when living in Indonesia because it’s a real high risk when the earthquake happen. But here we are placed in an appartement. What got me relieved the first time that we are in the lowest floor so if something happen we will be quickly evacuated.  That’s what I thought.  Until it really happened.  We slept around midnight and abruptly woken up by the noise outside. I thought it was the drunk people just got back from night club or the restaurant next door was doing some deep cleaning. So loud that I had to wake up. My husband peeked outside and immediately said “fire brigade outside, you wait here!” I was just “am I dreaming or what?” I put on clothes, checked outside and saw a few of fire trucks. I checked the other side of the appartement and saw a few of police cars and ambulances.  “Oh no, something serious...

Write Down Your Dreams, They Said.

Moscow Yes, all things I have and I do right now is all the things that I have written down on papers, during my sleeps, in my consciousness, in my visions. So let's do that again here.  I have another dream that I really think of. It's the thing I want to do when I have so much money, or enough money, or when money doesn't matter anymore, or who knows!  I wanna build a school for kids who can't afford to go to school. I want them to pay nothing, and I want them to learn the basic things like how to respect others, how to tell people their ideas/opinions, familiarize them with being kind, how to think logically, how to solve problems, etc. All the basic survival things in life.  I think my passion is always in education, but I don't always like to follow the old-school rules. There are so many important things we don't learn at school that I think should be taught there. Once we graduate from school, we usually don't know how to navigate life. Who taught you...
